  • Freedom Brand Standard Fleshing Knives
    Brand Standard Fleshing Knives are ideal for low to medium volume fur processing. They are made of carbon steel and are available in three sizes. The smallest one has a blade that is 1" x 10" and is good for mink and muskrats. The middle sized one has a blade that is 1 1/2" x 12" and is used for raccoon, fox and other similarly sized animals. The largest one has a blade that is 2" x 16" and is used for coyote, beaver, bobcat and large raccoon. These fleshing knives are one sided knives and do not come with a sharp edge.

    Freedom Brand Pro Series Fleshing Knives are excellent for beginners and high volume professional fur handlers alike. They help to make fleshing easier and produce top quality results. FB Pro Series Fleshing Knives are made of high quality 400 series stainless steel. The blades are double sided and curved to match the curve of a fleshing beam. The bottom side of these fleshing knives is dull for pushing and the top side is sharp for shaving the hard to flesh areas of pelts. Freedom Brand Pro Series Fleshing Knives are available in three sizes. The smallest one has a blade that is 1 1/4" x 10" and is excellent for smaller animals like mink, muskrat, opossum, small beaver and small raccoon and other similarly sized animals. This one is also excellent for otter tails. The overall length, including handles, is 20". The middle sized one has a blade that is 1 1/2" x 14" and is most often used for raccoon, fox, beaver, coyote, bobcat, badger, etc. The overall length, including handles, is 24". If buying just one fleshing knife for your fur shed, this is the one to choose as it does a great job on all animals. The largest one has a blade that is 2 1/2" x 16" and is best used for coyote, large beaver and for big game such as deer, bear, moose and elk. This is a great beaver fleshing knife. The overall length, including handles, is 25 1/2".

    The Sheffield Fleshing Knives are available with a 3" x 12" fleshing blade or a 3" x 16" fleshing blade and are handmade by J. Adams Ltd. of Sheffield, England. These are excellent, high quality fleshing knives.

    The Necker #600 Fleshing Knife is 23 1/2" long and has a curved double sided blade. The inner side is dull for pushing and the outer side is sharp for shaving. The blade is 14" x 1 1/4".

    The Wiebe Elite Fleshing Knife has a stainless blade that is 10 1/2" long by 1 1/8" wide. The scraping edge is 10 3/8" on the concave side and 10 5/8" on the convex side. The sharp edge is designed for slicing and the opposite edge is designed for pushing.

    Green English Fleshing Knives were designed to be similar to high quality fleshing knives made in England such as the Sheffield. These are a lower quality, lower priced version. The smaller one has a 12" x 2 1/2" blade, and the larger one has a 16" x 2 3/4" blade.
