The WCS Professional Bear Foot Snare is made up of two major parts. The first part is a 12" launcher with special bends in the jaws to hold the snare in place. The pan tension is adjustable to avoid smaller bears. The launcher is powered by two springs about the size of those used on a standard 220 body grip trap. These springs make the launcher very quick and also make the launcher easy to bed. The bends in the jaws that hold the snare in place also make it so the bear can easily remove the launcher off the foot after the snare is locked on. The second part of the WCS Pro Bear Foot Snare is a 3/16" 7x19 cable snare with a stainless lock and a 40" spring that is made to fit over the cable. Also, on the end of the snare is a large stainless steel swivel with 2,800 lbs. of holding power. As the snare is opened to lock into the bends in the jaws the snare spring is compressed holding the snare firmly on the launcher.
